My 3 Day Experience with Meditation

I decided to try start trying out meditation/hypnosis before bed in order to try to help some of my anxiety issues. After 3 days, this is my report:

Night 1:
I get my program downloaded onto my iphone, find my good headphones, lay in bed and start it up. I'm about 3 minutes in when my phone alerts me to a text message, interrupting the program. I try to ignore it and continue the program. After 5 minutes I get a phone call, interrupting the program again. I stop, spend 20 minutes trying to figure out how to get the phone sounds turned off while still being able to listen to the program. Give up and download the program on my ipod instead. Decide to try again tomorrow.

Night 2:
Charge up the ipod, plug in the good headphones, lay down next to my already sleeping husband, turn on the program and start my relaxation. Halfway through, as I am instructed to "connect with the sounds in my environment" my dear husband begins to LOUDLY snore. I get the giggles and abandon my program for the second night in a row. 

Night 3:
Ipod and headphones ready. Made sure to go to bed before my husband. I am READY for this. 2 minutes into my relaxation the dog, who has been laying on the floor next to me, starts coughing and throwing up his dinner. 

Clearly meditation is NOT for me.
